Law wasn't my first career. Originally from northern Alberta, I've worked in construction, as a lifeguard, and in archaeology to pay for my first two university degrees (I have four) and I was a middle school teacher in Calgary for 10 years. I took an Education Law course while doing my masters that showed me that law isn't really about rules, it's about people, and every case is really a story about a part of someone's life. I saw the importance and decided to write the LSAT.
I went to law school in Calgary, and articled here at a firm that specializes in Personal Injury. In my spare time, I chase after my two kids.
I've acted as counsel at the Provincial Court of Alberta, the Court of Queen's Bench of Alberta, the Alberta Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada.
